Terms of Service

1. The service

Pairly lets two linked partners share notes, drawings and photos, see them on Home Screen widgets, and draw together in Live Canvas. Some features depend on your phone and operating system: widget refresh timing is controlled by iOS and Android, and Lock Screen Live Activities are available only on supported iPhones.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it, to use Pairly.
• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your phone and sign-in methods secure.
• A guest account is tied to your device. If you delete the app or lose the device before linking a sign-in method, you may lose access to it.

3. Linking with a partner

Pairly links exactly two accounts. Only send invites to someone you know and trust. Either partner can unlink at any time. Content you send is visible to your partner, may appear on their widget or Lock Screen, and can be saved or captured by them; we cannot control what they do with it.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the notes, drawings and photos you create. You give us a limited licence to store, process and transmit your content only as needed to operate Pairly for you and your partner. End-to-end encrypted content cannot be read by us.

You are responsible for what you send. Only share content you have the right to share, and do not share images of other people without their consent.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Pairly to:

• harass, threaten, stalk or harm anyone, or send content to someone who doesn't want it;
• share sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate images, or any other illegal content;
• break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• access other people's accounts, interfere with the service, or reverse engineer, scrape or overload it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and may report illegal content to the authorities.

6. Pairly Pro, subscriptions and payments

• Pairly is free to download. Free use has limits that are shown in the app. Pairly Pro is an optional paid upgrade.
• Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. The price, billing period and any trial are shown before you buy.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• While your Pro access is active, your currently linked partner also gets Pro. Their shared access ends if your Pro access ends or if you unlink.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• We may change features or prices. Price changes for existing subscriptions follow the store's rules and notice requirements.

7. Third-party services

Pairly uses third-party services to operate the app. See our Privacy Policy for the providers and their roles.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Pairly running and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device. Some features need an internet connection, and your mobile provider's data charges may apply. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, or the app, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Pairly and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as liability limits, survive termination.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Pairly is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or losses caused by your partner's actions, your device or network, or events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pairly in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

11. Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded Pairly from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance, support or any claims about it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent it does not conflict with these terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. We may update these terms; we'll post the new version here with its effective date and tell you in the app about significant changes. Questions: pairlywidget@gmail.com.
